Our 'Chaitra-gouri' travels across the Ocean.
This is a very special year for the 'Koulagies'.Our family diety crosses the Indian border
and reached Atalanta two months before. Yesterday she was introduced to the NRI friends of my daughter in law with full pomp and show on the occasion of Gouri Thadigi.
YES, she is very special to us for being UNIQUE in many ways. She is Royal by having six members of her own famiy- Two to swing her, two more for Chamar SEVA, and final two to do ARATI...
All the seven together make a noble family of their own to enjoy their status for a whole
Chitra MAASA.
Every piece of the set
has uniqueness of its own.
They are very artistically made by an expert craftman and was gifted to our great grand father of my husband and has been treasured as family asset. The intricatedness of the art is
worth watching and pleasure giving. The whole set is having well articulated jewels on them
and give us the idea of olden days' life style. The Queen Gouri ( main)/holding the Shivalinga in her hand.
We need to worship her from the third day of Chitra Maasa ( Gouri Tadigi) to Akshaya Tritiya and invite the
the friends/ relatitives on every
Tuesday/ Friday and serve them with PANAKA and KOSAMBARi.Now a days because of busy schedules some changes are made as per convenience...
This is her PUJA in Atlanta for the first time. These are the fresh pics of the gorgeous celebration by my daughter in law with her friends yesterday.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL according to our HINDU PANCHANG...( YUGADI).
